ATOM BRANDS CELEBRATE GIN CATEGORY SUCCESS AS THEY ARE NAMED BOTH IWSC UK GIN PRODUCER OF THE YEAR AND GRAND GIN MASTER AT THE SPIRITS MASTERS
Atom Brands, the Kent based craft spirits producer, has been named UK Gin Producer of the Year at the Oscar’s of the drinks industry, the International Wine & Spirit Competition. This accolade follows on from the producer picking up the Overall Grand Master Award as well as the Grand Gin Master Award at the Spirits Masters Awards.
Started in a tin shed by a group of childhood friends who shared a love of spirits, Atom Brands launched in 2011 and is now leading the tribe of challenger brands in the drinks industry. Evolving from the much-loved online drinks retailer, Master of Malt, Atom Brands is the disruptive innovation arm of the Atom Group and produces some of the most exciting, innovative and high-growth, multi-award winning (and delicious) brands available on the market.
Managing Director, Nick Ravenhall, commented on the wins:

Now in its 8th year, Atom Brands approach to innovation and marketing has enabled it to be one of the fastest growing businesses in the spirits industry. The portfolio includes the flagship Bathtub Gin (each bottle is still hand wrapped, ‘twined’ and waxed in the Kent HQ), Drinks by the Dram, which in 2012, produced one of the first whisky and gin advent calendars available on the market and That Boutique-y Drinks Company which now comprises whisky (launched 2012), gin (launched 2017) and rum (launched 2018).
These wins demonstrate consistent high performance across the gin category. In the summer of 2019, Atom Brands also picked up the Rum Producer of the Year award at the International Spirit Challenge which marks a world’s first as no other producer in the drinks industry has ever won both of these awards, let alone in the same year. As industry experts can’t make up their mind up between the gin boom and the rum renaissance, Atom Brands stands strong with both categories recognised at the highest level possible.
